Gadgets, software and digital gear are among the most popular gifts for the holiday season. But the holidays bring out the worst in many retailers and if you’re not up on what means what, you are ripe to be scammed. Here are the top scams to avoid.

And how about those less obvious holiday scams, like that scam that TARGET pulls at Christmastime when the print their sales receipts with that “Take a free customer survey online and enter for a chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree at Target!” Well, I took the damn thing last December and low and behold:I’m suddenly getting a ton of JUNK MAIL OFFERS on my computer for almost everything under the sun! It’s plain that Target has SOLD my email address to anyone who asks for it, the bastards! =[
