“Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen” Details

In 2007, publishing company Activision released a game developed by Traveller’s Tales, called Transformers: The Game. The game was based on the upcoming movie, Transformers, and like most movie license games it was rushed, shallow, and over far too quickly. So, this time around Activision has taken a different approach and handed the project over to developing studio Luxoflux, makers of True Crime: Streets Of L.A. and the racing game Vigilante 8. So, what adjustments will they be making to ensure that this new Transformers will not make the same mistakes as the last? Read on.
Luxoflux appears to be taking this game very seriously. First of all, the initial movement and combat system has been all but completely overhauled. The idea is that transformations will be extremely flexible, allowing you to perform them immediately after running up and flipping off of a building, or just after pulling off a shot with a gigantic sniper rifle in order to quickly escape out of sight. if all goes well, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen should be a very complex game. Perhaps one of the only downsides of this is the slightly demanding learning curve when it comes to the controls.
In any case, the complex and fast-paced nature of the gameplay bring a real twist to the multiplayer. The game will feature at least three modes, the one’s we know about being Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and One Shall Stand, which has the players on each team protecting their respective leader and trying to eliminate the one on the opposing team, the Autobots’ being Optimus Prime and the Decepticons’ being Megatron.
As for the singleplayer, the campaign will follow the linear storyline from the film. Depending on how fast you complete a mission, you can be awarded points which are used to gain upgrades for your characters, one being faster weapon cooldowns.
Still, the online multiplayer will probably be the main draw, and will undoubtedly have people coming back for a long while after the game ships, which will be in June on the 23rd.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time Story Details
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time Story Details From E3
Ratchet & Clank’s new next-gen series debuted in 2007, titled Ratchet & Clank Future. Fans were given another taste a year later, with the short but fun downloadable installment called Quest For Booty. Now the series is back for real with Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time. Get ready for even more third-person style platforming, RPG-like gun leveling systems, and some entirely new features that you may not expect.
A Crack In Time takes place shortly after Quest For Booty, as Ratchet continues his search for Clank. But don’t get the wrong idea. Ratchet’s search is a very small part of a story that appears to go much deeper than that of any Ratchet & Clank game before it, as Ratchet is confronted by another of his kind. Those that played Tools of Destruction may have assumed that Ratchet was the only remaining member of the Lombax race, for that is what the game implied. Not only that, but it seems that this new Lombax has taken it upon himself to be a guardian of time itself, meaning it’s his job to make sure people don’t make use of time for their own evil ends. That’s right; apparently Dr. Nefarious has found a way to manipulate time itself, and so this new Lombax character has enlisted Ratchet to help stop him. The intent of developing studio Insomniac is to take things much more seriously than in past games in terms of story and answer some of the series’ critical questions, even though they concern issues that the average R&C fan wouldn’t really ponder more than twice. The idea is to take things to a new level.
The game’s undeniable theme of time manipulation also translates to the gameplay itself. Over the course of the game the player switches off between playing as Ratchet & Clank, as both their stories begin to come together. When playing as Clank, you can step on individual time pads and record your actions, and then you play them all over at the same time. As you can imagine, this can be really handy for solving puzzles and defeating bosses, etc.
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time is scheduled for release in Q4 2009.

Katamari Forever Details
Katamari Forever may be the series’ first installment on next-gen consoles, but it is more a compilation than an entirely new game. After all, in Japan the title of the game is not Katamari Forever; it’s called Katamari Damacy Tribute. That said, the games does feature a completely new storyline and some new gameplay features. Not to mention that for those who have yet to play Katamari, this would probably be a good time to do so, as the game essentially takes everything the series has been so well known for and lumps it into one big package.
So, what is the storyline this time around? In the first game, called Katamari Damacy, the King Of All Cosmos lost all the stars and it was your duty, as Prince, to retrieve them. To achieve this you were given a large round object, called a katamari. As it rolled and more and more objects stuck to it, it became large enough that the Prince was able to use it to catch the stars. Does it make sense? Not really, but in the context of the game’s wacky world it’s actually quite logical. Anyway, things take a rather more disturbing turn in Katamari Forever, when the King falls into a coma and the Prince and his cousins decide to build a robot version of him to temporarily take his place. Things take an even worse turn when the King’s robot version(or RoboKing, as he’s called) goes and accidentally obliterates the galaxy. And so, again, it’s your job as Prince to both restore the galaxy and bring the King out of his coma.
In order to this the Prince once again takes control of a katamari, but this time he will be using it to traverse a monochromatic dimension and steadily bring back color to the world. As you roll your katamari about the level you collect objects, and for every object you catch every other object of the same kind in the level gets it’s color returned.
Having said that, the graphics have a much more cel-shaded look to them. While in past Katamari games you went from country to country and planet to planet, in Katamari Forever you travel from page to page in a pop-up style book; a new and much welcomed graphical aspect for the series.
Katamari Forever is scheduled for release sometime later this year, for the Playstation 3.
